THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
I love to flirt

I love to flirt. Friends, strangers, whomever - it is just a pleasant way to interact with people. However, what should I do when my married friends want to take me up on it?

MISTRESS MAYHEM SAY
You are like a farmer who throws seed into the wind randomly and then complains when a plant grows in the wrong place. Stop flirting with every single person you meet and you may find they won't want to sleep with you. Also, people who you may actually be interested in may not be so put off on having seeds fly in their face when they approach you...

VIRGIN MARIE SAY
Take responsibility! More than 50 years ago, Alfred Kinsey persuaded 13% of 9,000 women to admit they'd had a gay experience, so it's hardly surprising that when you flirt with married women in the liberal noughties, you're going to tap into the bi-curious tendencies of some of them. A more serious issue is why you feel the need to flirt with people on this scale. If you don't actually fancy them, then flirting is a bit of an act, isn't it? What's wrong with just being you? I wonder if you're using flirting to cover up shyness? If so, maybe you could work on your self-confidence, so that you don't feel the need to flirt all the time.
